Join Wildbirds Unlimited Pearland on Saturday, September 28th from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. as Allison Zapata author of the book “Bernadette the Brave” visits the shop.
The hardest part of Allison’s day was choosing between Whole Foods or HEB. Then one day the little bird that would change everything landed in our backyard. Born with a bum beak, she was unable to feed herself and slowly starving to death. At the time, Allison simply saw a living being who needed our help. In retrospect, it was so much more than that – a bird who was broken on the outside needed the help of a girl who was broken on the inside.
