Houston Zoo Presents Zoo Lights

It’s the most wonderful time of the year–-the return of TXU Energy Presents Zoo Lights. From Nov. 14 to Jan. 10 the Houston Zoo is transformed into a magical winter spectacular, and one of Houston’s most well-loved holiday traditions. This year’s Zoo Lights event will feature timed tickets to allow for proper social distancing while enjoying the sights and sounds of the season, as well as increased cleaning and disinfecting to ensure a safe visit for all.
During Zoo Lights guests can sip their hot chocolate as earth-friendly LED lighting illuminates the ancient oak trees and decorates the paths to light the way. Guests have an opportunity to interact with Candy the Zoo Lights Zebra presented by H-E-B, get a selfie on a giant ice throne and take a socially distanced photo with Santa as he prepares for the holidays in his workshop. Stroll through a 125-foot-long, Infinity Tunnel of Light, see dragons come to life in the 4-D Enchanted Forest presented by King & Spalding LLP, and experience Winter Wonderland presented by Houston Methodist. Additional experiences like making s’mores are also available for purchase.
TXU Energy Presents Zoo Lights is a separately ticketed event, held daily from 5:30 – 10:30 p.m. with the last entry at 9:30 p.m. The Zoo closes for the day at 4:00 p.m. and re-opens as TXU Energy Presents Zoo Lights at 5:30 p.m. Tickets prices range from $12.90 – $29.95. Zoo Members save $3 per ticket when they login to their membership account to buy tickets. For the best price, guests are encouraged to buy early.
