Mustangs Take Flight at the Lone Star Flight Museum

Mustangs Take Flight at the Lone Star Flight Museum during the 2019 Mustang Club of America National Car Show March 29-31, 2019.
More Than 300 Mustangs, 750 participants and thousands of car enthusiasts will gather at the Lone Star Flight Museum to celebrate the Ford Mustang.

The international event that celebrates the Ford Mustang will be open to the public and will feature hundreds of Mustangs on display both inside and outside the museum. The car show is free and open to the public. Museum tickets are $7 each day for all visitors and includes full access to the Lone Star Flight Museum and features additional Mustangs on display with planes. The Lone Star Flight Museum is located at 11551 Aerospace Avenue, just 20 minutes from downtown Houston at Ellington Field.

This year’s national show car show will be hosted by the Northside Mustang Car Club, based in Houston. Car show participants from all over the United States, Canada and Europe will show off their vehicles and compete in more than 60 different categories. More than 300 vehicles and 750 participants are expected to be registered for the 3-day event that will feature everything from restored Mustangs to showroom standards and modified/resto-mod performance Ponies, and more. More than 300 awards will be handed out to during the car show.

Inside the museum, the national car show will feature Ford Mustangs parked amongst the vintage aircraft. A mix of 40 Concours and Thoroughbred Mustangs competing for the best original factory condition, as well as two additional Mustangs that were filmed and featured in the Discovery Channels Television Series Sticker Shock. The P-51 Fighter Mustang aircraft of which the Ford Mustang was named, will be on-site Friday, March 29 only.

Friday, March 29:
9 a.m. Lone Star Flight Museum opens
11 a.m. – 5 p.m. 2019 Mustang Club of American National Car Show opens. Mustangs on display
Military Appreciation Day. FREE entry to the Lone Star Flight Museum to active, reserve guard and retired military personnel with a current military ID.

Saturday, March 30:
8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Hundreds of Mustangs on display. Museum open.
The show cars will be on display and will be judged by the Mustang Club of America Certified Judges and Gold Card Judges throughout the day.
Noon – 2 p.m.
ESPN, 97.5 FM’s In Wheel Time with Mike Marrs and Don Armstrong will broadcast LIVE.

Sunday, March 31:
8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Show cars on display and final judging. Awards ceremony at 2 p.m.
